“Because The Wizard of Oz is the wizard we all look up to from young childhood, he is the master of the Emerald City where all wishes come true. More than Santa Claus, who can only bring one gift for every child in the world, no matter how large his sack may be, Oz can give us all the gifts, he makes all our wishes come true, he encourages all our hopes. The Wizard of Oz is not a story for children only. Better yet, it is a story for all children – small children or grown-up children. We all are little Dorothy, wandering in a world full of dangers, we all need friends so that, together with them, we may take the yellow brick road and find Oz. He may teach us how to see ourselves in the mirror, become aware of our qualities and fix our drawbacks. He also is the one who can show us the way HOME, to the land where we started from and only he can provide us the golden fruit of the joy to live…”

*Sylva Kerim – librettist

“Dorothy and her puppy, Tsik-Tsik, are carried by a terrible cyclone, with their house and everything, far away from Kansas. When falling, the house kills the feared with Zug-Zeg. The leprechauns and the White Fairy thank the girl for having gotten them rid of the horrible Zug-Zeg. Dorothy wants to go back home, but she finds out that the Wizard of Oz is the only one who can help her. As she goes to search for Oz, Dorothy befriends the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Puppy Lion. Together, they discover that the force of friendship helps you overcome all hardship.”

**Carmen Roibu – director
